Permission comes from the source
How Scout may invite a seller
There is no single licensed-listing-partner status for Scout to apply for. The people or businesses supplying the listings must authorize Scout’s use, or a platform must grant those rights in a written agreement.
01 · Start hereBuild a direct source
A seller can enter an email on the Scout invitation page and click the private-seller or dealer opt-in button to agree to contact about listing on Golf Cart Match. A dealer can also authorize an inventory feed in a written agreement. Scout records the exact consent and time for each request.
The opt-in permits contact about creating a Golf Cart Match listing. It does not grant Scout rights to republish or sell the seller’s listing.
02 · Contract requiredUse another platform’s feed
Scout needs a written agreement expressly permitting discovery and referral to Golf Cart Match, plus a reliable field or process showing which individual sellers may be contacted. A general API key or publicly visible listing page is insufficient on its own.
Scout keeps web search results as research candidates until permission is established.
Dealer feed agreement
Record these terms before activation
- Which inventory and seller records the dealer authorizes Scout to use
- Whether Scout may contact each seller or the dealer, and for what purpose
- Feed update frequency, attribution, and removal of sold or withdrawn carts
- How corrections, opt-outs, and permission withdrawal are handled
- What data Scout must delete or stop using when the agreement ends
A manager records the agreement’s permission basis in the private Scout desk, activates the feed, reviews a successful poll, and then separately enables outreach for that source.
Sharing listing content needs a separate grant
Contact permission does not authorize Scout to share descriptions, photos, or listings with other partners. Scout would ask for separate, explicit permission before adding any such use.
